Why Early Eye Exams Matter
It’s recommended that infants have their first eye exam between six and nine months of age, especially if there’s a family history of vision issues. Early eye exams help detect any signs of vision problems or childhood eye disorders. After an initial exam, children should have another between ages two and five and continue with yearly check-ups to support their vision and development.
Scheduling regular eye exams is important, but if you notice any changes in your child’s vision—such as squinting, holding objects close, unaligned eyes, frequent rubbing, or clumsiness—don’t hesitate to contact us.
