Routine eye exams are essential for maintaining vision and monitoring overall health. Experts recommend comprehensive eye exams every 1-2 years based on age, health, and risk factors.
At Sullivan Optometry, we offer both pediatric and adult exams and manage ocular diseases with advanced testing, including the Zeiss Cirrus OCT Scan, Zeiss Visual Field Test, and iCare Tonometer
For adults who wear glasses or contacts, an annual exam is recommended. Even without corrective needs, an exam every 2 years is advised up to age 40. Those over 40 should have exams every 1-2 years to check for age-related conditions like presbyopia, cataracts, and macular degeneration, and everyone over 60 should be seen annually. More frequent exams may be recommended for individuals with diabetes, high blood pressure, or other health conditions that impact eye health.
